A cask-strength, one-time release from Maestro Tequilero José Valdez Reynoso is exclusive to Southern Spirits in Indian Land, South Carolina.
Tequila Partida and Southern Spirits have announced Partida Roble Fino Single Barrel, an exclusive Añejo crafted by Partida’s Maestro Tequilero, José Valdez Reynoso. Just 138 bottles were produced for the one-time release.
Two casks, two stages of maturation
The tequila was first matured for 26 months in an American oak barrel that had previously held Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey for three years. It was then finished for six months in a Sherry Single Malt cask that had previously held Oloroso Sherry for three years and Single Malt Scotch Whisky for 24 years.
The Añejo was bottled straight from a single barrel at 54.5% ABV (109 proof). According to the announcement, the expression reflects the precision and creativity behind the Roble Fino range.
From the Maestro Tequilero
Reynoso said the release is the result of more than two decades of crafting and perfecting Tequila Partida, combined with careful cask selection and precise determination of the maturation time in each cask.

A first for the Roble Fino range
The Southern Spirits team said they know Partida’s Roble Fino expressions represent some of the most premium aged tequilas, which is why they asked Valdez to experiment with it to create the first-ever cask-strength single barrel within the range. They said the Roble Fino Añejo Single Barrel is special because of the types of barrels used, and that they are looking forward to consumers’ reactions.
Availability and price
The release was slated to be available at a launch event on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST, exclusively from Southern Spirits in Indian Land, South Carolina. Valdez was scheduled to be present to meet guests and share the story behind the tequila.
The tequila carries a retail price of $199.99. It can be purchased online or in person at the store, but only by South Carolina residents. Customers who live outside the state must travel to South Carolina and buy their bottle at the store.
Once the 138 bottles are sold, the single-barrel expression will no longer be available.
